[Press Conference] The freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom of expression endangered in the Republic of Korea


The U.S. civil society and elites including Gordon Chang, Dr. Nicholas Eberstadt, Prof. Sung-Yoon Lee, Dr. Tara O, Michael Maya, Esq., Dr. Suzanne Schelte, Dr. Greg Scarlatoiu, officially raise the issue of free speech, free press and free expression in the Republic of Korea. They are seriously concerned with the situation that Moon Jai-in administration censors and controls freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom of expression with criminal defamation law.

This movement symbolizes how seriously the freedom of speech and freedom of press under Moon Jae-in regime is violated in the Republic of Korea. We the Korean Patriots Party sincerely appreciate the efforts of the U.S. civil society and opinion leaders preserving and helping freedom of speech for Korean society.

The Korean Patriots Party (KPP, 대한애국당) is the only conservative political party in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (South Korea) having the platform that it firmly supports liberal democracy, market economy and the U.S.-ROK Alliance, and the KPP strongly advocates the value of freedom and human rights and also has made efforts for the enhancement of North Korean human rights situation. The KPP has tried to rescue President Park Geun-hye imprisoned by illegal and fraudulent impeachment, and its objective is to rescue the liberal democracy and market economy of the ROK in crisis.
